Rev. Andrea Missey
Associate Pastor
A St. Louis metro native, Andrea Missey knows no other place than the Midwest. She graduated from Truman State University with a degree in secondary education in 1989. Andrea married Darrell, whom she knew in high school and dated in college, two weeks after college graduation. Darrell attended law school at St. Louis University while Andrea taught Language Arts to 7th and 8th graders in the Affton School District. With all the extra time they had without children, Andrea and Darrell were part-time youth directors at Third Baptist Church in midtown St. Louis.
A vocational call to ministry emerged in 1991, and Andrea began full-time work with students. In 1996, Andrea graduated from seminary with her M.Div and was ordained. After 12 years of service at Third Baptist, she became the Associate Pastor at Delmar, where she currently serves working with children, the drama ministry, and pastoral care.
Andrea is the proud mother of three beautiful girls: Rachel (9), Ella (5), and Joy (3). Her hobbies include playing with her girls and cleaning up after her girls. Andrea works out in the gym and tries to read a book or two, when time permits.
